Palazzo Vecchio

The Florence's most important building, former residence of the Royal Family
Palazzo Vecchio, designed by Arnolfo di Cambio, was built in 1299 as the seat of the Piori delle Arti e della Signoria.
It became the temporary residence of the Ducal family of Cosimo I de' Medici and later the seat of the Royal Family.
