Located in the heart of the Renaissance city of Florence, a few steps from Ponte Vecchio, the Gallery Art Hotel is the most innovative project accomplished by Lungarno Hotels, the hotel management company of the Salvatore Ferragamo group. Designed by Michele Bönan, a refined Florentine architect, this 4-star hotel in Florence offers a contemporary space with ever-changing styles and references.

Guests are in fact welcomed by a large gallery dedicated to art and photography, which looks like a window on the contemporary world, seen through the lens of famous international photographers like David Lachapelle, Steven Klein, Lise Sarfati and Eliott Erwitt.

The 69 rooms and 5 suites can be considered as the real "unique pieces" of an art collection. Each environment is in fact made from special materials such as linen, cashmere, Tuscan stone, Asian woods and Florentine handicraft. Not to mention the breathtaking view of the city and all the Lungarni which you can enjoy from the upper floors.

The bar and restaurant, Fusion Bar & Restaurant, is much more than a simple elegant and contemporary place to eat or have a drink. Completely renovated and decorated by Michele Bönan, it boasts a particular, extremely minimalist environment, so that it does not even seems to be in the city of the Renaissance.

Inside the two spaces are divided between the Fusion Bar for a drink with a view, and the restaurant Shozan, for a special dinner. For the aperitif you can choose among finger food like sushi and sashimi, tempura, sweet and sour chicken wings, halibut in soy sauce, raw tuna with sesame seeds, hot soups by the glass and more. For dinner sushi reigns supreme, but food of Asian influence also allows for Mediterranean contamination. In the menu, Italian and Japanese flavors blend and mingle. The typical ingredients of the local cuisine are reinterpreted with creativity and presented in accordance with the typically Japanese aesthetics, with interesting fusions of flavors, just as in the case of Chianina sushi, mushrooms tempura or delicious green tea tiramisu.

In the living room/library, you can watch the best jazz groups, and Sunday lunch is replaced by an American brunch with a buffet of sushi, omelets and soups.

Creativity is not lacking even speaking of drinks, such as vodka sour with sweet pepper, which earned an international award, and other particular cocktails. In addition, the wine list offers a good selection of wines and various sake of great value.

"Michelangelo can also wait..." is the motto of the Gallery Art Hotel, and indeed we can not blame him...
