About
Get the VIP treatment with a personalized Duomo private tour. Your own group or family can enjoy this exclusive adventure, which includes a breathtaking "skywalk" up to the terraces. Meet your friendly and knowledgeable guide, fluent in English and eager to make your experience unforgettable. With a Duomo private tour, you are sure to make unforgettable memories. Triumph your senses with your guide as you spot the stunning Duomo of Florence, the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore. This church, planned by Arnolfo di Cambio, stands as the third largest in the world - following St. Peter's in Rome and St. Paul's in London - yet the most all-encompassing in Europe when it was erected in the 15th century. The array of diverse styles you'll witness within the structure is evidence of the evolution in preferences throughout the time that the foundation was laid and until it was finished. Paolo Uccello's clock, Vasari's frescoes, and Bandinelli's marble choir are some of the masterpieces waiting to be discovered. Through a mix of narrow and open-air paths, embark on an ascent to Florence's holy grail, the Duomo rooftop. Centuries of closure have only made the experience greater as you'll be able to view the city's splendor from a height of 105 ft that is only accessible through the staircase climb. Although generally closed to the public, these stunning 32-meter terraces won't disappoint you and your private group, who've been invited especially for this one-of-a-kind adventure. Trust us, the reward will be more than worth it. As you embark on your private skywalk tour of the Duomo, you'll feel as though you're gliding through the cityscape, with its centuries-old roofs and towering edifices, while the magnificent Dome looms just overhead. Prepare to be dazzled as you discover the secrets of the incredible architectural and engineering feats that went into creating this monumental, self-supporting structure. Your guide will lead you around the terrace, unveiling the history of its construction and how this incredible dome has maintained its dominance over the Florence skyline for over six centuries. Brunelleschi's approach to vaulting the dome space, without any scaffolding, was nothing short of astonishingly innovative. He defied gravity, reaching for eternity, and changing the rules of architecture forever. After enjoying your terrace experience, why not take it a step further and make your way up to the top of the Brunelleschi Cupola for an unparalleled panoramic view from 91 meters (300 ft)?Attention! Kindly take note that certain museums and places of worship have a rigourous dress protocol. For access, men and women must cover their shoulders and knee area, meaning no sleeveless tops or shorts. Failure to comply will result in prohibited admission.
